The non-inverter compressor works at a fixed speed which auto shuts itself after achieving the ambient technology. When the temperature drops, the compressor starts again, and this process continues. When the compressor starts, again and again, and again, it uses a lot of electric power. That is why non-inverter type AC is less efficient than an inverter air conditioner.
